   This is an attempt to index the large number of materials which provide reference to the language of the Elizabethan period.   For the most part this is overkill; a faire worker needs a presentable pronunciation and a basic vocabulary set.    This sort of basic linguistic skill should be obtainable through the pronunication practices, basic vocabulary, and Introductory References.

   The volume of material is large; a simple query for "English language -- Early modern, 1500-1700" produced over 300 records from the UC melvyl system.    Note that many of the references are true scholarly texts and may be available only at Universities or large libraries.
